Our Projects

The Young Achievers Awards is an annual National Competition that selects and promotes the best practice and excellence in youth creativity. By demonstrating a young person’s potential to create an outstanding nation built on entrepreneurship, YAA aims at recognizing Uganda’s leaders of tomorrow today. It provides a unique opportunity for people from all walks of life to work together to address national developmental challenges in ICT, the Arts, Health, Education, Gender and access to better lives.

YAA is therefore both a showcase to the nation of young artists, business persons, designers, educators and creators’ contribution to reducing poverty, protecting our values and freedom, sharing knowledge and empowering people.
The intent of this award by all its promoters is to empower the youth to address the critical development needs that exist in Uganda. Rather than a picture of a youth body that lacks hope and skills, YAA attempts to promote a picture of the youth as innovative, energetic, positive and technologically aware: a youth body that is willing to work and make necessary changes.
Nominees are chosen to receive this award for a practice that best exemplifies the YAA spirit.  These are chosen in the following categories:

The essence of this project is to celebrate and encourage the youth in view of the impact they can make in national development, and to provide role models and increase entrepreneur awareness, opportunities and potential among the youth.
